Raw Ink emerged as a deliberate departure from the conventional practices of mass printing media, embracing a return to the roots of communicated written text through more traditional methods.
Comprising a curated collection of five distinctive stamps, each handcrafted from repurposed woodblocks and rubber, Raw Ink finds its origins in the creation of these stamps, initially designed to complement the enchanting experience of ‘Invitation In A Box’.
As an integral part of the gifting experience, any textual inclusion within the physical invitation box undergoes a unique transformation – a stamping ritual that replaces the impersonality of mass printing with an ode to process and artisanal craftsmanship.
Central Saint Martins supported the project by granting access to their workshops and providing essential materials for Raw Ink's development.
